A jury of six men and six women considered verdicts for more than three hours.
Earlier this year, Mendy was acquitted by a jury of six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against four young women or teenagers after a six-month trial. The jury failed to reach a verdict on two counts of rape and attempted rape, leading to a retrial.
